Whole-Genome Sequence of Lactobacillus sakei LT-13 Isolated from Moto Starter of Sake
Lactobacillus sakei strain LT-13 is a lactic acid bacterium isolated from moto starter of Japanese sake. This genome analysis revealed that the genome is composed of a circular chromosome and one plasmid, which contain 1,938 and 8 putative protein-coding genes, respectively.
متن کاملProbiotic Properties of Lactobacilli Isolated from Thai Traditional Food
Certain properties relevant to probiotic action, e.g. resistance to acid, bile tolerance, adhesive properties, antibacterial activity, and antibiotic susceptibility were investigated of lactobacilli isolated from four kinds of Thai traditional fermented foods. Media of pH = 2.0–7.0 and bile salt concentrations of 0.3–1.0% were used as stress conditions. The adhesive properties were assessed by ...

متن کاملGenotypic and Phylogenic Analysis of Lactobacilli Producing Bacteriocin Isolated from Traditional Dairy Products and Food
Background & Objective: Lactic acid bacteria (LAB) are a group of Gram-positive, non-spore forming, cocci or rod shaped, catalase negative organisms, considered as Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) organisms. These bacteria are used for thousands of years for production of fermented foods because of their ability to produce desirable changes in taste, flavor and texture. Different antimicrobi...
متن کاملAntimicrobial and Safety Properties of Lactobacilli Isolated from two Cameroonian Traditional Fermented Foods
Twenty-one Lactobacillus isolates from "Sha'a" (a maize - based fermented beverage) and "Kossam" (traditionally fermented cow milk) were selected in accordance with their antagonistic activities and tested for their bacteriocinogenic potential as well as safety properties. These isolates were preliminarily identified as Lactobacillus plantarum (62%), Lactobacillus rhamnosus (24%), Lactobacillus...
